First Class Southend to be Opened! April 2007

After many months of debate and discussion the OUSA Southend First Class Conference is to become an Open Conference. This means that we can more easily communicate with other members of the Open University online without students having to ask for permission to access the forum. This we hope will bring more students from the surrounding area onto the Southend Forum. OUSA Southend's First Class conference is a place to meet fellow students to chat and seek support in your studies.

New Social Meeting for 2007

For 2007 we have seen a change to the monthly face to face meeting at OUSA Southend. The OUSA meetings to discuss OUSA business and committee matters are now quarterly with new social meeting being held in the months between.

We would welcome all feed back from students and encourage you to contact us with your suggestions and views on this matter

OUSA Southend Online - First OUSA branch Web site in Essex

www.ousasouthend.org.uk was launched in October 2005 and is the first OUSA branch Web site in Essex and we are proud to bring this facility to our members. The site has been designed and built by Southend OUSA members Adrian Rayfield and Hazel Rayfield (nee Fisher), both studying IT and Computing with the Open University.

We hope this Web site will act as a gateway to Open University students in the Southend and surrounding area. All students of the Open University are automatically members of the Open University Students Association (OUSA).
